News concerning the International Brigades & the Spanish Civil War (1936 to 1939) from Porta de la Història in sunny Spain.

Hello everyone.

This is Alan Warren, IB historian, researcher, publisher and tour guide on the International Brigades and the Spanish Civil War. And for some reason, President of Porta de la História Associació Cultural.

Over the past year or so I have been reading various Substack articles of general interest. I am tempted to join, but it is based in San Fransisco and funded by various big money investors. Sadly, owing to the rapid collapse of the USA (“Like the Fall of the Roman Empire, but with wifi”) I hope not!). But things need to change and only Yanks can do that. Best of Luck. You have my full support), I have made the difficult decision to sadly boycott the USA until commonsense and Democratic principles hopefully return to the USA. Not to hurt my many American friends who I love and deeply admire, but more to pressurise the current Fascist government. I am calling a spade a f****** spade here. I am sorry if I offend anyone reading this. But I sadly know Fascism.

So I hope to write up here about Porta de la Història's exciting adventures here and see how we go?
